Biden's Cognitive Impairment — Letters that should have been in the new york times

To the editor:

At first I thought, indignantly, who does special counsel Robert Hur think he is to describe President Biden as a 'well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory'? (Special counsel's report puts Biden's age and memory in spotlight, 2.8.24). The nerve! But, on second thought, perhaps he is brave, courageous and patriotic in contrast to members of Biden's administration who, in an effort to protect the President, are putting our country at risk by their silence and complicity.

This country cannot survive four more years of Donald Trump. The American people, including those of us who have supported President Biden and appreciate all that his administration has done, need some reassurance that he is fit to serve four more years if reelected. A neurological exam made public would go a long way to doing that ... or not.
